Visual Identity
Van Gogh Museum
The Van Gogh Museum tells the story of this artist’s eventful life in both pictures and words. The challenge was to focus this ambitious idea into one consistent visual identity. The starting points for the new corporate design are the characteristic brush strokes of Van Gogh’s painting “The Mower”. Inspired by the colouring of his key works, the colour palette features as a vibrant background for select quotes by the artist. The black-and-white logo provides an eye-catching contrast and is reminiscent of a stamp inspired by the angular shape of the museum building.
