This VR flight simulation invites to experience the historical city of Ulm from a bird’s-eye view. For this, a 3D replica of the old town in 1890 was generated on the computer. In order to achieve a particularly high degree of realism, the developers worked on specific building details that defined the cityscape at the time. 2,000 residential buildings and 6,000 other objects were modelled and staged with natural light and shadow effects. The integration of 3D sounds and real wind completes the realistic flight feeling.
