Brand Design Relaunch
Seaweed Islet
The seaweed industry in Taiwan has gradually declined due to changes in economic environment, an outflow of population and the rather tedious method of hand-picking algae. Since most of the seaweeds are collected and sold by local fisherwomen, there had been no uniform brand image to support this characteristic culture. The new brand design aims to reinvigorate the image of local seaweed specialities in the northeast of Taiwan. The key visual on the packaging is based on the nine most distinctive scenic spots in the region. The communication also conveys information on the local ecology, enhancing the hometown image of the brand.
