Monitus

Monitus is a product used to monitor the health of wetlands. Multiple Monitus devices are placed on the water’s surface throughout a wetland area, working like many nerve cells to sample the surrounding water. The set of sensors and modules in each Monitus device work together to collect information about the wetland’s water quality parameters. The collected information is then sent to the wetland monitoring centre for inspection. Day and night, these Monitus devices will check for trace elements in the water and track other critical parameters. Photovoltaic cells are integrated into the product's surface to convert solar energy into electrical energy, which powers the Monitus. Red Dot Award: Design Concept | Concept | Sustainability
