MARTOR is a family-owned company that was founded near Solingen, Germany, in 1940, which produces professional cutting tools and markets them worldwide. A rebranding set out to refine the profile of the brand. “Excellence” and “customer centricity” were defined as the essence of the brand and encapsulated in the new brand idea “CUTTING-EDGE CONVENIENCE”. The logo, in the brand colour cyan, picks up on this message by cropping the letter “a” at its base. The entire brand identity – from communication materials, the website and the showroom through to the product design – is characterised by clean lines, striking forms and consistent use of the brand colours. An aesthetic visual language imbues the brand with emotion and also plays a key role in the employer branding.
