JOYJOY Old Cloth Redesign Project transforms discarded clothes into valued products. The often-overlooked collars, sleeves and sides of discarded clothes will be used to make handles, straps and little pockets. Any remaining fabric will be used to make pet toys. The project plans to cooperate with convenience stores to acquire old clothes. Anyone who donates their old clothes will receive an NTD$5 coupon per kilogram, giving people more incentive to recycle. JOYJOY Old Cloth Redesign Project hopes to work with regional traditional clothing modification shops to maximise the use of discarded clothes as well as production flexibility. To simplify the production process, the same pattern is reused and adapted to the unique characteristics of each fabric. The result is a series of bags that makes good use of its materials.
