User Interface Design
Huawei EIHealth
EIHealth is an artificial intelligence R&D platform, which provides professional services in the areas of genomic analysis, drug discovery, medical imaging and others. With hyperscale computer-aided drug screening abilities, the platform can perform homology modelling of the protein structure for all target proteins of a virus, molecular dynamics simulation and computer-aided molecular docking of billions of small-molecule compounds. Thanks to this technology and the simulations, a large number of measurements and scenarios can be carried out in less time in the event of a pandemic such as COVID-19, which effectively provides information and helps researchers, for example, in narrowing the scope of drug screening in the development of anti-epidemic drugs. The design of this effective platform is based on human centric design and uses a variety of graphic visualisations in 2D and 3D in order to clearly arrange the enormous amounts of data. The platform thus delivers an intuitive user experience that makes navigating this complex and powerful tool more transparent.
Begründung der Jury
The AI-based user interface for Huawei EIHealth impresses with the enormous variety of approaches with which it can process huge amounts of complex data and, in this process, always remains clear and plausible. The design has successfully emerged with an appearance that intuitively guides the user and which organises the processed data into easy-to-understand 3D images or tables and diagrams.
