Homedoctor Medbot

Homedoctor bridges the gap between the hospital and the home with connected health robots. For the next evolution of its at-home health assistant, Homedoctor asked to create a compact medical device with intuitive features that will improve the patient experience before, during and after telemedicine diagnosis and treatment. In addition, the device would seamlessly integrate into patients’ daily lives and provide them with a highly personalised and accessible digital patient experience. The design team collaborated with Telecom Design to conduct extensive user research and learn how patients interact with medical devices, from handling and storage to physical and digital preferences. The collective insights quickly resulted in the creation of a prototype model. To create a more connected digital patient experience, studio propelland finished the engineering of Homedoctor Medbot with the implementation of a corresponding mobile application. The app allows patients to pair Medbot with their smartphones for faster access and control, enabling them to perform at-home treatment with greater confidence and ease.
