Typeface
Filigran Gothic
Filigran Gothic is an original typeface inspired by the branches in Fraktur type and the high contrast of fat-face serifs. It is a heavyweight display type intended to be used large on designs such as branding and print media. The typeface’s most interesting features include the weight axis variations as well as the mix of translation and expansion strokes. The stroke endings are also remarkably abrupt, which lends the type a three-dimensional appeal and is reminiscent of the brush strokes in calligraphy. The full typeface includes standard ligatures and alternative glyphs that make it versatile for different designs.
