Falcon Solar
Falcon Solar is a solar-powered aircraft concept with a large wing area that allows for zero-emission solar flight. The shape of the aircraft and its overall design deviates from conventional aircraft design because it uses the advantage of flying wings. The fuselage provides lift while also serving as a surface for the solar panels. This is inspired by the bodies of birds of prey, which are much more efficient in flight.
Since solar-powered manned flight has already been proven to be possible and is currently being developed, we have a responsibility to steer aviation in a more sustainable direction. Fewer heavy batteries are required, and solar energy should be used not only for propulsion but also to influence the boundary layer around the wing for increased efficiency. The optimal propulsion/boundary layer manipulation ratio results in higher overall efficiency.
