DARWINEUM

The Darwineum at the Rostock Zoo is a combination of museum and living zoological collection, also serving as a new home for the zoo’s apes. Designed as an attraction for the winter season, it offers visitors a new approach to the transfer of knowledge and presents its theme in an entertaining manner. A highly varied, interactive tour illustrates the evolution of life and the cultural evolution of human beings. The tour starts with Darwin’s evolution theory and takes the visitor on a journey through millions of years of the earth’s history.
