Concept NOX
Robotics is the missing link in the construction industry that will connect the digital worlds of planning and engineering to the real world on-site in an efficient and sustainable manner. To fill this gap, the NOX construction robot converts digital data of a planned building into reality on-site by printing essential information directly on the corresponding spots where the next construction tasks must be executed.
The main goal of the robot is not only to bring data on-site, but also to automatically 3D-scan the site with high resolution and document the progress day by day. The virtual building model is constantly updated by transferring the data back. This process is extremely valuable not only to construction engineers, but also to clients and architects, who can access the most up-to-date digital twin of their construction sites from anywhere in the world at any time.
In this scenario, humans and robots collaborate as a team. Every night, the construction robot NOX scans the site and prints the markings for the next day’s tasks. This preparation, as well as a derived to-do list, guides workers through their tasks at daytime, ensuring an optimal focus on their strengths.
