A major challenge for Black & Decker today is that its products are available in fewer and fewer stores. In response, the tool manufacturer is working towards consistent digitalisation with its solution “Social Tools”. This smart tool cupboard for housing communities enables the sharing of tools to support the realisation of DIY ideas and projects. For a small fee, tools can be borrowed or reserved using an app. An exchange with the community is possible. Thanks to short tutorials, users have access not only to the tools, but also to the knowledge on how to use them.
