Bid Book Hannover 2025

This book was created for Hannover’s bid for European Capital of Culture 2025. Its eye-catching cover is a delicate laser-cut multilayer relief, which picks up on the formal language of “Merzbau” by Dada artist Kurt Schwitters and continues as a gap into the book. It also portrays the metaphor of the agora as a central marketplace where important European topics can be discussed and experienced. Inside the hand-bound book, meticulous design elements, microtypography and fantastic illustrations build tension and serve as a highly creative companion to the bid.
