Beautiful Minds – The World of Synesthesia

Synesthesia is a neurological phenomenon where the stimulation of one sense additionally triggers the perception of another, e.g. hearing music triggers seeing colours. This synesthetically designed website visualises this phenomenon while also raising awareness and providing information. It portrays four synesthetes and their individual perceptions of the world in an interactive manner. The user can, for example, move the cursor over a field with different colours and colour nuances to activate the associated musical notes.
