Typeface
BBC Reith
Fonts are an important part of visual communication. This is why the BBC commissioned a brand-new suite of fonts that would respect the British typographic tradition yet still look and perform like a contemporary type system. The result is a font that meets the demands of 21st-century usage and transports both an identity and a message across any medium in an accessible way. The BBC Reith family consists of coordinated weights in both sans and serif, plus matching italics for each. The font has a clear yet understated appearance and allows for different messages to be communicated with an appropriate level of sensitivity.
