Brand Store
Aesop Parnas
Located at the centre of the sprawling Parnas Mall in Seoul, Korea, the lack of natural light posed the greatest design challenge for Aesop’s Parnas retail store. A copper cavern was created with floating “walls” made of 2,100 metres of oxidised tubing, no two curves repeating. The showroom’s centrepiece is an island sink of floating local granite wrapped in a double curve of copper piping. The idea of a landscape at dusk is reinforced by randomly spaced lighting, backed by felted wool. The undulating lines thus define a monochromatic metallic oasis for skincare purists.
