Top ranked design institutions and enterprises at the Red Dot Design Ranking
Design excellence requires sustained investments and efforts. Red Dot Design Ranking for Design Concept is a vigorous reflection of real sustainable design and innovation capability of an organisation. It recognises the continued investment in design concepts by enterprises and institutions, and ranked into six distinct honorary lists for Companies, Design Studios and Universities, in the Americas & Europe and Asia Pacific regions.
National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and Massey University maintained its #1 and #2 position at the list for Universities in Asia Pacific, with Zhejiang University of Technology moving up the rank at third position. Umeå Institute of Design and Savannah College of Art and Design maintained their first and second in the list for Universities in Americas & Europe for the ninth consecutive year while Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design is now ranked at #3 position in the list for Universities in Americas & Europe.
In the list for Design studios in Americas & Europe, Blond maintained its first position in rankings, while Crux Product Design and Accenture has moved up to second and third position. ZCO Design / ZCO Future Design maintained its #1 position in the list for Design studios in Asia Pacific while Shenzhen Perth Industrial Design and Shenzhen C60 Design is now ranked second and third.
Canoo has moved up and is now ranked at the top position in the list for Companies in Americas & Europe while LIXIL Global Design and Philips Design at the second and third position. In the list for Companies in Asia Pacific, Media Group maintained at the top position. Hyundai Motor Group has moved up in rankings at #2 spot while Gree Electric Appliances of Zhuhai is now at #3 position.
The ranking is based on the results of the Red Dot Award: Design Concept published in the yearbooks. It takes into account all levels of awards at the Red Dot Award for Design Concept over the past five years. The achievements of this year’s Red Dot Design Ranking for Design Concept were released in tandem with Red Dot Award: Design Concept 2024 results.
