Professor Jure Miklavc

Professor Jure Miklavc is a graduate in industrial design from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and has more than 20 years of experience in the field of design. Miklavc started his career working as a freelance designer, before founding his own design consultancy Studio Miklavc.

Studio Miklavc works in the field of product design, visual communications, brand development and is a consultancy for a variety of clients from light design, electronic goods, user interfaces, transport design to medical equipment. Sports equipment that they designed gained worldwide success. From 2013 onwards, the studio works for the prestigious Italian motorbike manufacturer Bimota.

Designs by Studio Miklavc have also received many highest international awards and have been displayed in numerous exhibitions. Jure Miklavc has been involved in design education since 2005 and is now a permanent lecturer and head of industrial design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana.
