Yiayia and friends

The illustrations from the “Yiayia and friends” series combine Greek culinary traditions with contemporary flair. They show the main protagonist – a Greek grandmother (yiayia) – surrounded by a cheerful and colourful universe made up of animal figures and elements of nature. The common link between the monochromatic characters with their enclosed shapes are their eyes, which are always designed the same way. They run through the project like a logo, and act as a visual representation of the connection between humans and nature.
