Wealth of Mud Metals

Wealth of Mud Metals is a branding project for the Changhua Plain in Taiwan. To visualise the region’s resources, a kind of topographic map with white lines on a jet-black background was created. The imagery arouses interest with its high degree of abstraction. It is used both as a reference to the fertile black mud on the banks of the Zhuoshui River and as a hint to Changhua’s traditional hardware industry. The visual appearance is completed by dotted golden lines and some tool icons. These elements are meant to symbolise the local population, highlighting the people’s willingness to work hard for a living.
