Tribute to the Gods
Peaches are a frequent symbol for immortality in Chinese art. In this context, so-called longevity peach towers are used in Taoist rituals to celebrate birthdays of deities. Tribute to the Gods responds to the trend that Taiwanese like to give similar birthday gifts to their elders and presents a reusable longevity peach tower. The design creates a cheerful mood with bright colours reminiscent of temple paintings. In addition, stylised key figures, depicting immortals playing instruments, give the appearance a festive yet contemporary touch.
