Tilt. An inclusive kettle to aid pouring and filling

返回 Download

Tilt is an inclusive kettle to aid pouring and filling for those that struggle with this everyday task. In the UK, there are over 11 million people with a limiting long term illness, impairment or disability. The most commonly reported impairments usually affect mobility, lifting, or carrying. With a unique integrated hinge design, Tilt reduces strain on the arms by placing the burden of the kettles’ weight on the fulcrum. Moving the pivot point upwards minimises the amount of weight that users need to lift, while a weighted base ensures that the kettle is stable as its contents are poured out. Its cup filling system lets the user fill the kettle one cup at a time, helping users avoid the task of carrying a full kettle to and from the sink. This also results in less water boiled, saving energy.
