Subway Map for Colour-Blind People
A subway map is perceived in a different way by people who are colour-blind compared to those who are not. While the majority of people easily understand colour-coded maps, colour-blind people struggle at transfer stations where multiple lines intersect. Against this backdrop, a special map has been developed that helps colour-blind people find stations more easily and more quickly. Curves instead of straight lines were used, contrasts increased, numbers and symbols added, in order to give additional information or precisely mark surroundings. The map also shows exactly where the respective station is located.
