Radwende – Change Your City for Cyclists
This installation was part of a campaign initiated by activists as a response to the fact that the town of Wiesbaden, according to an assessment, was ranked as the least bike-friendly city in Germany. Therefore, the aim was to open up new possibilities together with cyclists, based on the individual routes they take, to create a fictitious city map. A drawing machine in the Wiesbaden state museum recorded these cycling paths on a daily basis and thus produced a work of art every day, showing where cycling lanes were most needed.
