Label Design

Plagios Wine

The label design for Plagios wines was inspired by the name of the wine (plagios means “sideways” in Greek) by recalling the movement of the bishop in a game of chess. The chessboard colours of the label are achieved by a combination of printed white squares with the dark glass of the bottle. The colours are echoed in the seal of the cork to indicate the type of wine: white for white wine, black for red wine. The delicate symbol of the bishop, the winery’s crest, complements the elegant composition of the label.
