Paradox – A Cultural Harmony
Paradox is an exhibition that offers a space illustrating how two cultures can be combined through their visual language. In essence, the work is based on intertwining letter forms as a metaphor for harmony. The characters of two languages, English and Korean, have been carefully merged, based on similarities in their phonetic sounds. The balanced signs aim to convey a feeling of kinship which can ultimately be translated into a cultural sense – a notion of proximity of allegedly diverse cultures.
