Oranginal

Storytelling is at the heart of the visual concept for the Oranginal packaging. Selected navel oranges from western Hubei are presented in woven bamboo baskets featuring a nostalgic design. Like the containers, the wood-cut style graphics on the labelling are inspired by Chinese handicraft. They show the process of traditional fruit-farming in artful detail. The ends of the removable banderole are shaped like fingers in reference to the farmers’ hands holding oranges. Through its handmade charm and elaborate design, the packaging pays special tribute to the natural product inside.
