Oil Rainbow – Disappearing Creatures

This poster visualises the common problem of ocean pollution caused by oil spills. It depicts the vibrant rainbow colours caused by such a spill. However, these rainbows are sure to signify death. The barely discernible outlines of sea birds communicate the message that if people continue to ignore oil pollution, more and more animals will disappear from the earth. Furthermore, the metallic, oil-like layers overlap with the silhouettes of seabirds, suggesting that it is hard to control the extent of damage caused by oil pollution because the ocean encompasses the world.
