North Town is an app designed as a metaverse game. In a fun way, reflected in the design with bright and friendly colours, the app wants to help South Korean people become more familiar with their neighbours in North Korea and to reduce the gap between the two countries. The game is designed as a train journey through northern cities, e.g. Pyongyang and Kaesong. In this way, the player learns about different attractions and cultural peculiarities. The use of non-player characters also gives the appearance of interacting with North Korean residents.
