The cool temperatures at night make it the perfect time to harvest grapes. The motto for this label design, “Nachtlese. Die Sterne standen günstig!” (Night harvest. The stars were aligned!), focuses on precisely this aspect. The label shows the exact starry sky on the very night which was chosen to harvest the grapes for this wine. It is a representation of the sky over the vineyards in the Hainfeld wine-growing area of the Palatinate region on 3 October 2018, which was provided by NASA, who supported the project by granting access to their comprehensive database.
