Metaverse Skin
Metaverse is forecast to be integrated with automotive solutions in the foreseeable future. In-vehicle lighting effects typically operate unilaterally, changing colours to suit the mood of the user. This solution, however, combines 3D patterns and a transparent PC material for a light guide plate, allowing the light source to be used more efficiently.
The resulting Metaverse Skin effect is intended to create a mood that makes users feel as if they are in a virtual environment. The lighting technique maximises the 3D effect, which was designed to provide more immersive experiences to drivers and passengers in the era of new automotive entertainment and autonomous driving. The optical mechanism of the Lencell structure is used to generate a 3D effect with no post-processing, using only an injection product.
LOTTE Chemical’s new lighting solution is intended to disperse light energy from a small source over a large area. In comparison to existing lighting modules, the number of required parts and carbon footprint are both reduced as a result of the streamlined manufacturing process. Vehicles outfitted with the new lighting module will provide high emotional satisfaction while consuming less energy, making them an excellent solution for adapting to the upcoming Metaverse environment.
