Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V. (MPG) Annual Report and Highlights 2018

The non-profit association Max-Planck-Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Wissenschaften e.V. (MPG) is one of the leading German institutions in the field of basic scientific research. The challenge for its communication design is to make complex scientific facts and sometimes boring data easily accessible to readers. For this annual report, an easy-toconsume layout grid and accessible illustrative style were developed that interpret the scientific topics in an emotional way. Vivid illustrations accompany the texts rather playfully, accentuating them in a striking manner, while attractive infographics were designed in close cooperation with the scientific authors.
