Kids in Cars

Two boys battle their boredom while waiting in cars parked next to each other as their parents shop. Using imagery inspired by the cartoons of the creator’s youth, this animated short film shows the boys’ search for entertainment and rivalry that develops while they wait. The tempo of the narration increases – their disputes begin with making faces and finish with destruction in the aisles of the grocery store. It is only when they are in danger of getting in trouble that they realise that working together makes life easier for everyone.
