Tea Room
HEYTEA
This branch of the HEYTEA teahouse chain in Foshan, China, sets the “unity of Zen and martial arts” as the basic theme for its design. The challenge was to complement the brand image with visual references to the cultural heritage of the region. The town of Foshan is famous for Wing Chung, a traditional kung fu form. The vertical and horizontal wooden beams in the centre of the room are inspired by the wooden dummy used as a Wing Chung training tool. The images of dancing lions and vessels point to the local Lingnan culture, while the hilly cloud landscape in a glass table refers to the mountainous origin of the tea.
