The conception of the HANSASTELA basin mixer, internationally available as Oras Stela, was inspired by nature. The design of the fitting was modelled upon a mountain creek: a specially developed aerator forms the water flowing out of the tap into a wide, soft water jet, which adds a strong visual component to the act of washing one’s hands. Through the inclined, user-oriented position of spout and aerator, the basin mixer communicates this special feature even when it is not in use. Moreover, its soft, cubic language of form brings a modern aesthetic into the bathroom.
