When it comes to expressing emotions, hearing-impaired people are more accustomed to communicating through gestures and facial expressions. HANDI emoji generates a collection of character expressions with the smartphone camera, which recognises the user’s facial expressions and sign language. It also generates text by interpreting sign language with the help of AI data. HANDI emoji can be created and delivered via the keyboard UI, and the application allows for overall character library editing and organisation. As the process of recognising sign language and editing HANDI emoji continues, large amounts of sign language data are gradually accumulated and converted into linguistically useful nourishment. Furthermore, as the use of HANDI emoji spreads, it has the potential to break down barriers between languages and create a world in which everyone can share their emotions and communicate with one another.
