Fristads Green

An environmental product declaration (EPD) shows a product’s accumulated environmental impact through its life cycle. EPDs help customers who are environmentally driven to compare goods or services among different providers. Fristads has made the world’s first EPDs for clothing – a new standard for measuring the total environmental impact of a garment, from choice of material to delivery of the finished product. Fristads Green is a clothing line that ties in with this initiative – it is a new concept in garment manufacturing in which the entire supply chain is characterised by environmental awareness and innovative solutions to minimise its environmental footprint. The collection is made from recycled polyester and undyed cotton, and has a clean design with minimal details, all produced using smart solutions to reduce energy consumption and facilitate recycling. The Fristads Green collection uses advanced manufacturing techniques to reduce sewing time and avoid unnecessary waste, as well as dying processes and materials that use less water.
