FLOWER islAND
The book FLOWER islAND deals with the origin and evolution of Taiwanese plants. It is based on the assumption that their development from growing roots to spreading and blossoming is affected by events in the past. Thus, individual plants have special meanings: morning glory represents diligence, dandelion being generous and moth orchid economic success. The three-volume work is characterised by its elaborate and comprehensive design. It consists of individual slipcases with a paper band wrapped around them as well as books and posters. The texts are combined with full-page photographs and illustrations, partly in black-and-white and partly in colour.
