External Temporary Heart Pacemaker

返回 Download

A temporary external pacemaker uses electrical cardiac stimulation to treat life-threatening symptoms in an emergency setting. This pacemaker has an updated design by departing from a previously cold engineered aesthetic to one considers human factors. Its exterior form has been completely redefined using a modern design language with emphasis on a user-friendly control panel and clear function indications. The control panel carefully includes functional hierarchy, button arrangement, and convenient modes based on usage frequency of each button. The buttons in the same functional category are arranged according to their functional hierarchy, usage frequency etc. Because the control panel already contains so much information, the indicator lights are moved to the top of the product. To align the product appearance and its functionality, one feature most important to medical devices was identified, and it served as the key visual highlight of the product.
