Easy Basin

Aimed at seniors and women, Easy Basin combines function with ergonomic considerations to achieve the most labour-saving method of washing clothes by hand. The entire kit comprises a basin, a squeezing board and a washboard that can be easily converted into a handle, allowing Easy Basin to be carried conveniently with one hand. Easy Basin has separate sections for washing clothes and resting clothes to prevent crowding of fabric, hence freeing up space for hand movements. The centre of force application has been calculated to ensure stability while scrubbing the clothes back and forth. Pouring out the water at the end of the task is also easy – one side of the base of the basin is cut at a 55-degree angle, which allows the whole basin to rest on the flat edge, and water to be poured out easily. Lastly, the water that is wrung from the clothes flows into the base of the basin, separated from the tray that supports the washed clothes.
