Coined Character

返回 Download

“Biang” was originally a colloquially onomatopoeic word derived from a snack in China: “biangbiang noodles”. The Chinese character consists of 42 strokes in simplified Chinese and 57 strokes in traditional Chinese. Because it was coined later and due to the complicated composition, it became one of the most famous characters in China. Based on this structure, the designer used multiple experimental techniques to create an image that is characterised by a unique presentation. Writing style and graphic design are combined in a competent and artistic way.
