The Xiamen International Design Week: fascinating design works on 6,000 m²
From 3 to 5 November 2017, Red Dot will once again bring the world of design together at the Xiamen International Design Week. For the sixth time in a row, Red Dot is one of the organisers of the trade fair which takes place in the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center in China. From product exhibitions with a focus on design competitions to inspiring business talks, the Xiamen International Design Week with its exhibition area of 6,000 square metres has a lot to offer for design enthusiasts and professionals from all over the world.
The exhibition “The Best Design – Red Dot Winners Selection 2017” shows the state-of-the-art of the international design scene and displays current developments in the industry. More than 200 products from the four areas “Living”, “Doing”, “Working” and “Enjoying” represent by way of example the wide range of products honoured within the framework of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017. Furthermore, numerous designers and manufacturers that have won the Red Dot present their own design achievements and invite visitors to meet them in person.
Another highlight of the trade fair is the award “China Good Design”. Organised by Red Dot and the Xiamen Media Group, its aim is to make Chinese design more visible on the international as well as on the local market. The award ceremony and the after-show party will take place on 3 November. From then on, the award-winning products will be showcased in a special exhibition during the Xiamen International Design Week.
