Red Dot Award: Product Design – Winners will be published in Red Dot Design Yearbook

The registration for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 is on. Winning the Red Dot opens the doors for manufacturers and designers to a worldwide network and offers exclusive options for communicating their success. One of the numerous winners’ benefits is the presentation of the awarded product and its makers in the Red Dot Design Yearbook.

For many years now, the yearbooks of the Red Dot Award have been considered international reference works for excellent design. Companies, journalists, architects, planners, and designers use the books for their day-to-day work and keep them as collectors’ items and an archive of award-winning designs.

The world of design in four volumes: “Living”, “Doing”, “Working” and “Enjoying” are quite different yet equally fascinating books. Together, all volumes give a comprehensive overview of the state of the art and trends in product design.
The yearbook set combines the areas of life and living, activity and lifestyle, work and technology as well as leisure and relaxation. The presented award-winning products show model developments, potential and trends in current product design.

The Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 is one of the largest product competitions in the world. For more than 60 years, it has offered a fair and independent design benchmark. The award’s 40 strong, international jury evaluates every product submitted live, on site and only awards the Red Dot to those that stand out for their good design quality.

The application phase for the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2017 is divided into three distinct stages: the “Early bird” phase ends on 2 December 2016 and is followed by the “Regular” stage which ends on 20 January 2017, then “Latecomer” has a closing date of 8 February 2017.
