Designers‘ Night 2016: winners‘ exhibition opening during aftershow party
On 4 July, the international design scene gets together in the in Germany. On that evening, around 1,800 guests celebrate the winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016 at the Designers' Night. The aftershow party offers the opportunity to network and invites the guests to discover the best products of the year. The Designers’ Night also marks the opening of the two winners’ exhibitions “Design on Stage” and “Creative Video Revolution”, which will be on show in the museum at Zollverein World Heritage Site until 31 July 2016.
Design on Stage – Winners Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016
With “Design on Stage”, the Red Dot Design Museum Essen presents the winners of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2016. On view are more than 1,000 products which were granted the coveted Red Dot seal by around 40 international design experts. The exhibited innovations come from designers and manufacturers from around the globe. From lifestyle accessories to consumer electronics to furniture: The award-winning products from all fields of everyday life will be presented in the midst of inspiring industrial architecture.
Creative Video Revolution by Blackmagic Design
A special place is reserved for the presentation of the Red Dot: Design Team of the Year 2016. Over years, the “Blackmagic Industrial Design Team led by Simon Kidd” has repeatedly convinced the competition’s jury of its exceptional design quality. Blackmagic Design has rapidly grown over the last decade to become one of the world’s leading innovators and manufacturers of creative video technology. The designers from Down Under develop hardware and software products used in films, television programmes and advertisements around the world, and in some of Hollywood’s most successful films including “The Martian”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “Furious 7” or “Avatar”. The designers prove their know-how in their special exhibition “Digital Video Revolution”.
Limited Designers’ Night tickets
The limited tickets for the party and openings in the midst of historical industrial architecture and modern product culture are only available online for 53.55 EUR. They include all drinks and high-class catering in the course of the Designers’ Night.
