China Good Design: Product submissions in the Early Bird phase only until 9 May 2016

After last year’s successful jury session, award ceremony and winners’ exhibition, this year “China Good Design” takes place for the second time. The aim of the competition is to locate good design in China from an international perspective, to improve the design level in China as a whole and to make high quality products more visible. Once again designers and companies are called upon to face the assessment process. The Early Bird registration period is in full swing and will run until 9 May 2016.

International design experts evaluate all submitted entries

Submissions to “China Good Design” should be accessed by an internationally established jury of experts. Among the nine members of the jury from eight nations are experienced judges such as Gordon Bruce (USA), Martin Darbyshire (UK), Aleksandar Tatic (Germany / Italy) or Prof. Cheng Neng Kua (Taiwan). The panel of experts is also represented by Prof. Renke He, an outstanding personality of the Chinese design scene. As part of “Meet the Jury” participants have the opportunity to exchange ideas with the jurors in October.

Participants will profit from media attention

The 2015 laureates benefited from a great media presence and took the chance to present themselves and their innovative products on a national stage. This year again, a wide range of media will be reporting on the event and winners of the competition. Partner of the award is the Xiamen Media Group. The award-winning products will be showcased in a special exhibition during the “Xiamen International Design Week - Red Dot in China”. The trade fair for quality design will take place from 29 October to 1 November 2016 in Xiamen, China and is a renowned platform for manufacturers and designers in Asia.
