Informationen zum Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design 2024
Every year, the Red Dot Award: Brands & Communication Design honours the best brands and communication design projects. Winners receive one of the following distinctions: Red Dot, Red Dot: Best of the Best, Red Dot: Brand of the Year, or Red Dot: Grand Prix.
In 2024, submissions in the field of communication design were assessed in 18 competition categories, while submissions in the field of brands were evaluated across 38 industries. A panel of 24 jurors convened in person to review and evaluate each project and brand individually.
Based on various criteria and considering their socio-cultural background, professional focus, and design expertise, the jurors determined which submitted designs and brands met the requirements for a Red Dot, Red Dot: Best of the Best, Red Dot: Grand Prix, or Red Dot: Brand of the Year award.
Evaluation criteria were weighted according to the type of project, providing a framework for assessment.

Idea: Originality & Creativity
Form: Design quality & innovation
Effect: comprehensibility & emotionality
This year’s entries came from around 55 countries. As different as the projects are, they are united by their design quality, which has now also been recognised by an internationally recognised and independent panel of experts.
