Yiayia and friends

“Yiayia and friends” is a gastronomy-related project that reimagines and reintroduces high-quality food products, culinary objects and epicurean artefacts of yesteryear. At the heart of the project “Yiayia”, which means “granny” in Greek, is the key storyline of a powerful, all-knowing but also discreet person. Together with her human and animal “friends”, this “granny” shares wisdom of growing and cooking food. A unified appearance was achieved by having the various characters – rendered in vibrant, solid colours and self-contained shapes – all share the same “eyes”. At the same time, this interlocking visual element doubles as a “silent logo”.
