The Android-based Vidmind DVB-T box displays an iconic, ring-like shape in reference to the cloud as technological foundation of the system. A striking element is the clearly defined square in the centre, functionally serving as heat dissipator. The two-sided remote control shows similar visual clarity and picks up features of the set-top box in a modified form. The outer skin of the box is made of rubber, the inner structure of plastic.
Statement by the Jury
Common design elements document the affinity of the set-top box and the remote control, yet both devices retain their individuality.
