Ambient Sound
Underwater
This ambient sound design project for the exhibition “Taiwan New Wave” in Paris featured one track filled with the sounds of water and breathing underwater. It echoed the exhibition’s main art film, which was shot underwater, and thus provided the overall atmosphere that filled the entire venue. The intention was to bring the climate experience of Taiwan, as an island surrounded by the sea with humid and rainy weather conditions, to the audience in Paris. The underwater sounds were mixed with samples from daily life in Taiwan, taken from the surrounding environment, such as streets or temples, and then combined with melody lines.
